Essentially, an EVP device is a piece of equipment used to seek to obtain Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). Such recordings are typically recordings – often short – that some believe to be sounds of spirits or otherworldly beings. Although they resemble normal speech, they are usually faint and difficult to identify without sensitive equipment.
